Speak Truth To Power Video Contest

PictureOnce again, NYSUT is participating in the RFK Social Justice Center’s
Speak Truth to Power video contest, which challenges students to create a 3-6 minute digital documentary about the work of one the human rights activists in their Speak Truth to Power curriculum, available online for free. The contest is open to students in grade six – twelve.
The curriculum has common core alignments, and developed lesson plans.
TriBeCa Film festival is offering free workshops through NYSUT for educators to guide them through the film making process. There’s a workshop at the NYSUT Nassau Office Tuesday October 15, 2014 from 4-8 PM and at the Suffolk office Thursday October 17th at the same time.
A light supper will be served.You must reserve a space.
