ATA Marches To Support Public Education

The ATA marched in support of Public Education in front of all five of our schools. This was done in many other locations throughout Long Island as well. We wanted to show our community that we are proud of our students, proud of our schools, and proud of our profession. Approximately 140 teachers wore their Amityville Teachers' Association attire for "Wear Red For Public Ed". Many more teachers wore Red in support during the day. It was a fun day for all![[{"type":"media","view_mode":"media_large","fid":"1234","attributes":{"class":"media-image alignleft size-full wp-image-2606","typeof":"foaf:Image","style":"","width":"180","height":"240","alt":"IMG_9902"}}]] Trustees Carolyn Dodd and Kathleen Corbett joined us. Our Superintendent Dr. Mary Kelly also carried an ATA sign in support. Building Principals Ed Plaia and Pauline Collins joined in as well. Thank you all for your support![[{"type":"media","view_mode":"media_large","fid":"1235","attributes":{"class":"media-image alignleft size-full wp-image-2605","typeof":"foaf:Image","style":"","width":"180","height":"240","alt":"IMG_9741"}}]]
